Narrow Aisle Forklift
Made to both lift and lower loaded pallets from storage areas which are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular kind is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like for instance warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires which make maneuvering very easy.
The operator of this particular type of forklift generally stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This design enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some versions of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the whole equipment. The sit-down model usually has four wheels.
An electric engine is used to power numerous narrow aisle forklifts. Machines that are electrically powered do not produce exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the preferred alternative for closed places like for instance retail spaces. Several lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Then again, the diesel version is not recommended to be used indoors since it could produce exhaust and be noisy.
