End Control Forklifts
AC stand-up end control forklift trucks are common in the material handling business for their great flexibility. These machines have great performance characteristics which are somewhat comparable to sit-down electric forklift models.
Ideally, these forklift truck units are suited for warehousing operation settings which have limited space. Their working aisle requirements are usually less than those required of a three-wheel electric forklift truck. These equipment are an excellent option for applications which require frequent off and on access, because their stand-up design is an exceptional feature.
The reach truck is a loading device utilized by various companies who maintain a storage facility involving the arrangement of finished products on pallets and materials that are stacked or stored into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck provides safe and easy retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also a great alternative for people who prefer to store pallets of products they do not require yet in a way which is both efficient and safe.
The standard reach truck unit is equipped with an out-rigging mechanism located on the front of the truck. A set of telescoping forks which move up and down are mounted to the out-rigging. The forks also have a hydraulic system that enables the operator to lift the load and reposition it over the out-riggers. This design not only provides a lot more balance to the overall load, but makes it easier for the reach truck to move into narrow aisles between the storage shelves.
When the reach truck finds the shelves that are designated for the pallet, the hydraulics enable the blades to swing into place and lower the pallet into the shelving, sliding the pallet into place. Usually, a reach truck would easily fit into an aisle that is less than 10 feet wide with no trouble, as long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
