Scissor Lifts
Genie lifts are a different name for scissor lifts. These machines are the most basic type of aerial lift available. These lifts are made of a platform that is raised up by means of pneumatic power and are mostly utilized for indoor applications. Typically, scissor lifts are the safest kind of lift models. When totally compressed, these scissor lifts are capable of being driven like large carts. Generally, when the platform is extended, they could not be driven for safety reasons. Boom Lifts
The boom lift is a much more complicated pieces of aerial lift machine compared to a scissor lift. The boom lift usually has a much wider base in order to keep the lift anchored. It utilizes a jointed arm which has a bucket on the end of it. There is a control box situated in the bucket that enables the operator to raise and lower the bucket. The boom lift is considered to be more risky to run compared to scissor lifts, therefore, operators should be certified individually for these kinds of lifts.
